What is clean skincare?

When talking about the word clean, you almost always associate it with something green, healthy, and organic. Well, I’m here to tell you you’re not too far off. Being clean is today’s domain of health and wellness. Just like with food, “clean eating” refers to a diet that consists primarily of organic and fresh foods that are free of chemicals, preservatives, and additives. Similarly, the term “clean beauty” refers to cosmetics that are free of hazardous substances. In the United States, there is a perception that the government does not limit enough hazardous components and ingredients in personal care goods. More than 1,300 cosmetic ingredients have been prohibited to be used in the European Union, but just 11 have been outlawed in the United States.

Why go clean?

We all know it is very important to make healthy decisions when it comes to being healthy, but have you ever thought that it might start with what you’re using on your skin? Clean skincare is equally as important as eating clean foods or exercising. The majority of people are hesitant to convert to clean skincare products because they believe they would not work. There has been a large investment in clean skincare performance. They’re a lot better now than they were before, and will only keep getting better with today’s research and science. Clean skincare used to be limited to a simple face cream or oil, but now we have access to very high-performing solutions. They’re not only as excellent as but even better than the old products since they’re filled with vitamins and nutrient-rich ingredients.

What makes Kathari clean?

Kathari (Καθαρή) meaning “clean” in Greek, is a skincare brand focusing on nourishing the skin with simple yet effective formulas that do not contain hazardous ingredients. Our brand is vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free (for all of our celiac customers), eco-friendly, non-toxic, and all of our products are plant-based. Don’t believe it? Check out our transparent labeling of ingredients.

Why cruelty-free?

Plant-based skincare is better for not just you and your skin, but also for animals. Because cosmetics businesses aren't required to disclose whether or not they test on animals, it's difficult to know whether or not the items you use are ethical. We are delighted to announce that Kathari is a cruelty-free company.

Why plant-based?

Isn't it nice to be free of harsh chemicals? For decades, heavy metals, talc, artificial colors, and strong scents have been utilized in traditional skincare. Up to 60% of the items we apply to our skin are absorbed and make their way into our circulatory system. The greatest method to take care of our skin is to use products that are both plant-based and non-toxic. Because of their superfood components and carefully developed formulae, plant-based beauty products can be even more effective than their man-made counterparts.

Paraben-free, most definitely!

All of our products are paraben-free. Scientific studies show that parabens may alter hormones in the body, causing damage to reproductive organs and fertility, as well as affecting birth outcomes and increasing cancer risk. They might also irritate the skin.

It’s never too late to start with clean skincare, and Kathari is just the place to go when you decide to make a change for both your skin and your health.
